Why is America on the streets in every state during corona?

Killing or discriminating against anyone because the color of their skin is brutal, gory, and horrific. But like many, I wondered amidst the Corona pandemic, why? It is ironic that humans have to fight for deprivation from basic human rights in the middle of a pandemic where the world is taken down by Corona Virus. Then why is everyone either on the streets protesting risking their lives to lack of social distancing or maybe online in zoom protests?
Whenever the masses protest, it is one major brutal incident that shocks the conscience of humanity.
The result is never of the one act, but a suppressed revolt of all acts combined. (Just as in India, The Delhi gang-rape case changed the rape laws).Looking at the current situation in America, it seems as if THE HELP is still on! The book THE HELP was a pathbreaking never heard before book written for the first time ever on real interviews of Black help(servants) in White families. A movie THE HELP was later made on the book. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Why White Supremacy is ridiculous

Skin color comes from DNA and makes no one inferior. The sheer idea of white supremacy is so funny that I cannot even understand how the lighter skin "humans" managed to convince or coerce everyone darker than them to believe they're superior throughout history. While the West still is obsessed with tanning for beauty, some Americans spray tanning their whole body to look like the Kardashians every single day it is shocking that such level of racial discrimination still exists in 2020.

What is happening in America?

What is happening is the biggest revolution since Civil Rights Movement. The hue and cry are not about one horrific police brutality in the case of George Flyod but of all kinds of systemic oppression that has been happening since ages. George Flyod was brutally murdered by the police on camera as he screamed, "I can't breathe", in the infamous choke hold. Defund the police is a movement to invest funding in education, mental health and basic needs of a society rather than on violently policing people with military grade equipment taught to KILL people. Prevention is better than cure.

What is Black Lives Matter (BLM)?

Black people have a right to live with as much dignity just as non-blacks do. Color of someone's skin does not define how you treat a human. Years ago I saw some youtubers say Black Lives Matter is controversial and we cannot openly say it. Why? Now, due to the massive protests, all major companies have jumped on their own #BlackLivesMatter slogan and openly embracing supporting people of colored skin. What I can't understand is, how did it take so long? Mahatma Gandhi had fought for equality in Africa during Apartheid. The Indian Civil Disobedience Movement and nature of non-violent protests is famous across the world, what led us to overthrow the 200 years of atrocious colonial British rule.

Last Week Tonight John Oliver sums up how American Police is above law

British origin John Oliver sums up beautifully with context what is wrong with the American Police, how they're murdering anyone they want, especially if you have a colored skin, how to defund the police only means reallocate funds to social welfare rather than brutal murder and violent techniques used by the cops.

Trevor Noah: You Broke the Social Contract Reference Kimberly Jones mentioned

The video starts exactly where Trevor Noah explains the concept of society. (You can see the whole video by just going back to start). Society is based on a contract. I agree with Trevor that protests should not be violent but, before judging someone who didn't abide by the law, let's ask if the law enforcers abided by the law? If systematic oppression makes a society fear the very protectors of society, then it's the cops who broke the social contract first. This logic single-handedly sums up every segment of society in higher power oppressing the lower; patriarchial misogynist to women, whites to colored, you name it.

It's lucky that equality is what Black people are looking for and not Revenge.

Meaning of Reparations

Trevor Noah concludes this between the scenes of his Daily show with a powerful line. It's not about whites or blacks now. It is a conversation to be had.
American government, meet the Black People.

Why go back to your country is stupid (no matter where you say it)

Just a little bit of history will tell you how some people forced the rest to be slaves, no compensation, horrible conditions, and tons of work. Slaves basically had no rights. Of all the countries, it's the most ironic in America, since all non-Americans know what Americans don't! All of America is immigrants and everyone came from somewhere except the native Americans who were tortured and oppressed by those coming in.
So, if anyone has a right to say that in a land, it's always the aboriginals. But of course, in a "free country", people are there legally and no one should be bullied like that.

What Kimberly Jones explained so beautifully with the logic of monopoly stands true for the oppression of women, scheduled castes in India, or (pick any oppressed group of your choice). The wealthy in these castes are better off. Therefore, help should be for those in terms of financial terms now, in India, since we've been giving reservations, quota help since 1947. But to expect people to suddenly be at level, especially those who are stuck in the loop of being poor, without any help is ridiculous.

Michael Jackson's song on Black & white

This was an interesting song as that is what it boils down to in the end. If someone cares for someone you love, or helps them, it doesn't matter if they're black or white. This song also features our Odissi dance, which was a super cool moment for me.
