Why you would love the movie
- If you are an art lover, the beginning is reukt artistic. I mean the movie begins with a song (very cliched ) but it moves the story forward and every single frame is spectacular, especially in the slomo. Vidu Vinod Chopra and Bijoy Namibiar or whoever thought of slomo, it was fab. Aditi looked stunning. But that's all she did. Her dance moves were spectacular and her styling as a Muslim lady were very believable. She's ok as a very soft, coy bride and mother. The chemistry is beautiful.
- But if you really ask acting, Neil Nitin Mukesh steals the show. With such a small screen presence, I can't get believe he acted so well. This has to be his best acting ever. His screen presence was so gripping th at to this moment I remember him. I remember Wazir, the character. The character itself is so detailed and it shows. Amitabh Bachhan and Farhan Akhtar are names known to have perfected their craft. While Bachhan did bring a difference to this character, Akhtar was no doubt amazing but could be just another guy. There was nothing spectacularly different about Danish Ali. Nevertheless when you go to watch a Bachhan and Akhtar, you are not disappointed. They have created names because of their work and the widespread respect is all well deserved. But Danish is just another cop with a family. The silent display of Anti terrorist squad for the first time as he sat helpless has a great effect. Finally our movies are talking without actually talking.
However if I had to add, Pammiji and the Sardar friend were better. And stunning was Aditi's mom in the very little she had to do. And John Abraham was great in bringing that steel ruggedness and absolutely unexpected coolness about an Indian cop. The SP in real is neverthis stylish. But being a girl why would I complain! The tea and soup shot was very well thought of. They add character and texture to that moment in frame.
