Anaa means pride. This Pakistani drama is filled with pride & Prejudice. As an Indian, admitting Pakistanis make great drama is big. But credit where credit is due, what to do. With tons of Indian movie stars, dialogues & other references we understand it's no new news that their serials make sense.
If you're looking for Hania Aamir dramas after her stellar acting in Mere Humsafar & viral chemistry with Farhaan Saeed, Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha will be a disappointment of sorts. I'd initially dismissed Anaa after reading about the plot but trust me, everything on the Internet about this serial is wrong. It's actually good. As Hindus, we appreciate moral values of loyalty and I naturally avoid dramas with more than one wife. Muslims also get very offended on adultery, and trust me, the plot is absolutely safe, everything has been addressed. For example, the central sensible characters keep repeating that you MUST divorce if you can't be loyal. Alahdgi agar wafa nahi kar sakte as they say in Urdu.
Loyalty, morals, values are extremely important to me, as you know. But don't you worry, they leave everything to the imagination. Absolutely clean family friendly content that we appreciate and respect.
The characters make foolish, stupid decisions but it all makes sense given the universe they have established, the individual personalities completely justify their actions. And there's a beautiful arc of growth, learning, except for the apparent hero, Areesh. But, trust me Altamash & Izza are everything. If you're a Hania Aamir fan, don't worry, she acted well in this.
Danin is played by Hania Aamir, an extremely impulsive girl, is literally shehzaadi, as they say. In later episodes her absolutely illogical behavior is justified explaining how pampered she was, that she couldn't even bear cooking one single dish — halwa; with help.
